Good Food Box

Good Food Box is a new project launched by the food security coordination table in Montreal’s NDG borough. We offer a community-based fruit and vegetable delivery service. Why a local service? Our main objectives are to help save NDG residents money while fostering community development, by bringing the food system back to the community level.

How does it work?

It’s simple!

  1. At the beginning of each month, you order a food box from a volunteer coordinator at one of the various drop-off points in the NDG Borough.
  2. In the third week of the month, you come to a drop-off point to pick up your box full of farm produce (supplied by a Quebec farm insofar as possible).

What’s in a box?

Because our main goal is to offer our clients higher quality food, the contents of a box will vary according to the season. To get a good price, we purchase our produce from local farmers based on availabilities (this supports the local economy) and from distributors. In this way, we avoid the profit margin added to the price of your food by the food retailers, while providing you with top quality farm fresh produce.
