The members of the Regroupement des cuisines collectives (RCCQ) from all areas of Quebec will meet in the Centre-du-Québec region.
Drummondville will be the host city for the RCCQ’s orientation meeting to be held at the Best-Western Hotel Universel this coming June 1, 2 and 3 and for its general annual meeting the following day. The opening evening on June 1, 7:00 p.m., will be attended by Yves-François Blanchet (PQ), MNA for Drummond, and Carole Poirier (PQ), MNA for Hochelaga-Maisonneuve. At the closing ceremony on June 3, 5:00 p.m., Pauline Marois, leader of the Parti québécois, Quebec’s official opposition, and MNA for Charlevoix, will make a speech to the members.
In order to reinforce the collective kitchen movement, the members will discuss the various issues facing its development: In a context of economic and food crises, what does the movement need to consolidate itself and continue to pursue its development? What actions should it prioritize toward the fulfillment of its mission and its objectives? The discussions will results in directions being established that will set the future course for the collective kitchens to follow.
When these working days have been completed, various guided training workshops will be held on the evening of June 2: Manger Santé…plaisirs garantis (delicious healthy food), Saine alimentation - partie 2 (a healthy diet-part 2), Démonstration de cadeaux en pot (gift demonstration), Démarrage d’un jardin collectif (starting a community garden), Goûter avec nos 5 sens (tasting with our 5 senses), Pouvoirs - rôles et responsabilités d’un conseil d’administration (powers – roles and duties of a board of directors), and Connaissances sur les risques d’incendie (fire risk primer) presented by the Drummondville fire department.
On the evening of June 3, participants will be invited to tour the sights of Drummondville, our host city.
